I am writing to strongly urge you to ban Strychnine, Compound 1080 and Sodium Cyanide. Strychnine, Compound 1080 and Sodium Cyanide are legally used for what is termed “Vertebrate Pest Control”. Under this regime, Wolves, Coyotes, Bears, Skunks, Richardson Ground Squirrels and Pocket Gophers are all targeted by one of these poisons.

Use of these poisons are indiscriminate and non-targeted species are also killed, often suffering an agonizing death. It is not a humane way of controlling wildlife populations. Please ban Strychnine, Compound 1080 and Sodium Cyanide and include humaneness when deciding whether to register poisons.
